About Us

GRANITO is a Brazilian company, specialized in enabling electronic transactions, providing its customers with customized, cutting-edge solutions.

A pioneer in the segment, our technology is 100% proprietary: from the software that processes transactions, through the entire operating system of the machines, to the final transaction of payment to customers via both web and mobile platforms.

Founded in 2015, originally named PAGO, GRANITO was born with the objective of meeting the expectations and needs of merchants who wish to increase their sales, reduce their taxes and thoroughly integrate their sales on a POS machine.

In 2016, still as sub-acquirerers for Global Payments and 28 employees, the Granito brand was created.

In 2017, after capturing Elo and Amex transactions, our brand got even stronger as we became Cielo sub-acquirers.

In 2018, 65% of our operation was acquired by Banco Bmg, which became responsible for funding – raising financial resources – all operations of the acquiring brand. With its 90 years of existence and expertise in the payments and financial market, the bank brought even more credibility and financial dependability to the operation.

BMG soon increased its share to 75% of the company, and the brand became Bmg Granito.

In 2020 however, a new joint venture was announced, based on a major agreement between financial institutions Banco Bmg and Inter, and Granito. Both banks agreed on a 45% share each, while founding partners maintained the remaining 10% share. From then on, the brand was once again simply Granito.
